Greetings to you all,
This Sunday we welcome Bishop Lusa to the parish as he presides and preaches at our 10.30 Mass. In answer to the raised eyebrows, nothing special is due to happen - he will just join us for a normal Mass!
As our photo indicates, our Quiz approaches - do get organised early to avoid the tickets running out. Drop Janet a line to book.
As a heads up, I will be away from the parish following my wedding on 19 September, and will return to our collective life on 6 October. My email out of office will have details of who to contact in my absence.

We mourn and pray for Freya Imogen Dishley, beloved daughter of Lex Patterson-Walters and Ross Dishley, and dearest granddaughter of John & Nicola Walters and Roger Dishley.

Judy McGlashan passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday this week, at home with family, after severe illness in the past year.
Please keep Judy and her family and friends in your prayers at this very sad time.
On 14 September we say a fond farewell to Sanjit Sil, our Office Manager of the last 3 and a half years. Your kind gifts and card will be presented to Sanjit on his last day, with assurances of your deepfelt thanks.
Very last chance to contribute closes at midnight on Friday 11 Sept.
The great news is that We Have Hired!
We welcome Jane Gee as our new Office Manager.
Jane has already started in her role, working with Sanjit to ensure a good handover.
Jane is a local Ealing person, is churchwarden of St Mary’s Northolt, and brings many skills that will ensure our office and wider operations work smoothly and reliably.
The Office Hours will cover Mon-Thurs every week - which we will publicise once Jane is fully in role.

Some of you will be doing this for schools, groups, and clubs. If so - ok! But if you’re not elsewhere, then please sign up. Sarah has raised £120 in the last 18 months ;)
Website overhaul
Our new website is launched! A few edits will yet happen as we navigate its new features.
If this inspires you and you would like to offset the cost to core church funds, please get in touch with Mthr Sarah or Felicity.
Thanks to our grant from Ealing Deanery, we have now installed a defibrillator in the halls foyer for all users of the premises and their pece of mind.
Training will be provided to key people and onward training is possible. Please wait for further news.

Wedding of Mother Sarah and Julian The St Barnabas community is warmly welcomed to Sarah and Julian’s wedding mass on 19 September, at 12 midday. All those attending are invited to join afterwards for drinks and a light buffet in the Hall from 1-3pm.
Coffee rota - extra volunteers sought. Please let Valerie know if you can help, even if only occasionally.
Ealing Half Marathon This year on Sunday 27 Sept - a reminder that the roads are closed past the church from 8.30-10.30. We will have Mass nonetheless!
Donations for Food Pantry
Please consider donating items from the list in church. Donations may be left after church on Sundays or during Food Pantry hours on Wednesdays. If you would like to give a monetary donation specifically to the food pantry, please mark your green envelope ‘Food Pantry’, or use this link.
Small amounts of fresh produce can be accepted ONLY when the Pantry is open on Wednesdays.
