Community

We are proud to be part of the vibrant community life of Pitshanger Lane, with a regular programme of concerts, films and events. We also seek to listen and be attentive to the needs of our community — to work in partnership with local groups and organisations, especially where we share a call to be signs of hope and to walk alongside people in every situation.

What’s going on

• Food Pantry — open to all, every Wednesday from 1–3pm, no referral needed.
• Pitshanger Pictures — our community cinema, screening films that spark conversation.
• Memory Café — a warm welcome every Thursday morning for those living with memory difficulties, and their carers.
• Rise — a monthly group for adults navigating loss, led by Mother Jeanny, on the first Wednesday of the month from 2–3pm.
• Garden Team — tends our churchyard and garden, meeting on the first Saturday morning of the month (with refreshments). New hands are always welcome — email gardenteam@barnabites.org.
• Social events — the Summer Fayre, the December Frost Fair and our Supper Quiz. Watch the posters along the Lane and our weekly newsletter for dates.
