Fr. Gerald Reddington RIP

Dear Friends,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the death of Fr. Gerald Reddington, a former vicar of St Barnabas Ealing. He had been in hospital with a respiratory problem but died peacefully at home yesterday evening (Wednesday 17 June).  It is very likely that there will be a Requiem Mass in London when this becomes possible and we will offer this Sunday's Mass with special intention for his soul.

During his time as incumbent (1990-1999), Fr. Gerald was much-loved as a compassionate pastor and wise spiritual guide. A holy and creative priest, St Barnabas flourished under his leadership. Part of his remarkable legacy includes the Millennium Halls which now play such a vital role in the life of the church and broader Pitshanger community. There are many happy memories of pantomimes and plays that where staged with help of his wife Valerie, who had had a long acting career.

At this time we pray for his children Marcus, Benedicta and Victoria. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!' " Matthew 25:23

With many blessings,

Fr. Justin Dodd

Vicar
