From the intimate and informal to the grand and traditional, there is something for everyone this Advent and Christmas at St Barnabas. We look forward to welcoming you as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the infinite love of God made real in flesh and blood.
Advent Procession with Carols - Sunday 8 December, 6pm
The Bishop of London will lead a very moving act of worship celebrating the light of justice shining in the darkness. The service will bring together citizens and civic leaders from across Ealing. Together we will witness to the Advent hope of a renewed world through inspiring choral music, candle lit procession and prophetic scripture.
Alternative Carols Service - Friday 13 December, 8pm
Wear your favourite Christmas jumper!
Join the talented musicians of St Barnabas for an evening of popular carols with a contemporary musical twist. Set in a relaxed candlelit atmosphere, this festive service will combine an intimate exploration of varied Christmas songs with poetry and prose. Come along in your Christmas Jumper! Retiring collection for Save the Children and the St Barnabas music programme.
Nine Lessons and Carols - Thursday 20 December, 8pm
A classic candle-lit service, combining popular carols with evocative readings from scripture. The St Barnabas Choir is accompanied by brass and other instruments. The offering will go to our nominated organisations Christian Aid and West London Citizens.
The Longest Night Service - Saturday 21 December, 3.30pm
For those who struggle during the Christmas season, this simple act of worship is here for you. Join us for a gentle way to mark birth of Christ, who comes to us not in glory and splendour but in the vulnerability of a new born baby.
Crib Service - Tuesday 24 December, 4pm
A Christmas celebration for the young (and young at heart!). Come dressed as angels or shepherds and join Joseph and Mary around the crib (some costumes available to early-comers). Music is led by the Ealing Gospel Choir.
Midnight Mass - Tuesday 24 December, 11pm
Welcome in the Feast of the Nativity with this uplifting act of worship. The first Mass of Christmas brings together traditional carols, beautiful liturgy, and inspiring preaching.
Christmas Day Low Mass - Wednesday 25 December 8am
A short contemplative service to reflect on the birth of Christ on Christmas morning.
Christmas Day Family Mass - Wednesday 25 December 10.30am
Join us to celebrate the birth of our Saviour on Christmas Day! Our joyful celebration is for all ages, with your favourite carols and a fun, child-friendly sermon. Everyone is welcome!
