GDPR

GDPR stands for the General Data Protection Regulation which comes into effect on 25 May this year. It brings into effect a number of changes to Data Protection law. The biggest change is that it is now necessary to opt in to receive information from charities such as St. Barnabas.

To deal with the necessity to opt in, we will be sending out forms to everyone on our data base during the next few weeks, which must completed and returned by 25 May. These will be sent out electronically. We will also hand out hard copies at church services. There will be instructions as to how to complete and return them.

It will be essential that these are returned and completed as soon as possible. Anyone who has not replied by 25 May will cease to receive any information from St. Barnabas about church services or other activities.
