Community

We are proud to be part of the vibrant community life of Pitshanger Lane, with a regular programme of concerts, films and events.

We also seek to listen and be attentive to the needs of our community, and to engage and be active in working in partnership with groups and organisations, especially where we share the call to be signs of hope and walk alongside people in all situations.

Food pantry

Our Food Pantry runs weekly on Wednesdays from 1 to 3pm.  If you or someone you know may be in need, please come and visit on a Wednesday and talk to one of our friendly and approachable team.  Alternatively, email the parish office for further information and to be put in touch with the Team.

Other community activites and events

We also have a lively and flourishing garden team, comprised of local neighbours, eco-enthusiasts at St Barnabas, meeting in the morning on the first Saturday of the month and stopping for refreshments and a chat partway through.  Contact gardenteam@barnabites.net for details.

The Summer Fayre returned in 2025, and the December Frost Fair enters its second year.  Our Supper Quiz offers a fun general knowledge evenign out for everyone.  Keep an eye out for our posters along the Lane and in our front noticeboards - or join our newsletter mailing list (see the home page).
