Fritz Lang made this film in 1927 from a story written in 1925. Although some confusion about the year it is set in exists, the generally accepted year is 2026! Hence our decision to screen it again now. Try, if you will, to imagine life in our cities in 100 years time! Almost impossible to do. Now think again what the people at the dawn of the 20th century believed would happen. Here is an opportunity to see this vision, once again, accompanied by Henry Tozer on our magnificent organ. A classic of cinema in a classical setting, what more can you ask for!
