St Barnabas offers a wide range of services and activities for children of all ages: Crèche, Children's Church, Young Church 1, Young Church 2, Brownies, Rainbows, Beavers and Cubs. For details on any of these, please contact the Parish Office.

There is a "diy crèche" in the Lady Chapel at the 10.30am Parish Eucharist every Sunday.

On the first Sunday of every month there is an "All-Age" service at 10:30am.

On the third Sunday of every month there is a Children's Service (for families with children under 7) at 9:30am, followed by breakfast in the hall at 10am.

Children’s Church is for children aged 3-8. It runs during the 10.30am Parish Eucharist every Sunday during term time. Children come to church for the start of the service and leave before the first reading. They then study an excellent Scripture Union course in the small hall attached to the church until the service ends.

Young Church 1 is for children aged 8-11. They meet in the choir vestry every Sunday during term-time. Children come to church for the start of the service and leave before the first reading. Activities include discussion, drama and art on topics arising from the Bible, the church year and daily life.

Young Church 2 is for children aged 11 and over. They meet in the upper room above the vestry every Sunday during term-time. Children come to church for the start of the service and leave before the first reading, returning in time for the Eucharist.

Brownies (girls aged 7-10) meet in the Millennium Hall from 6.15 to 7.45pm every Wednesday during term time.

Rainbows (girls aged 5-7) meet in the Small Hall between 6:15 and 7:15pm every Wednesday during term time.

Beavers(boys aged 6-8) meet in the Millennium Hall from 5 to 6.15pm every Friday during term time.

Cubs(boys aged 8-10) meet in the Millennium Hall from 6.30-8pm every Friday during term time.

We're always keen to hear from parents or other adults who would like to help run these groups, either as helpers or uniformed assistants. Please contact the Parish Office.
