St Barnabas Schumann Festival
Friday Saturday & Sunday June 4th, 5th and 6th 2010

We present a major 3-day festival of chamber music, piano music and lieder
to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Schumann's birth on June 8th 1810.


We have 10 hours of music, in 4 concerts, performed by 47 musicians -
21 pianists, 11 violinists, 7 cellists, 4 violists, 3 singers and 1 clarinettist.

We have 3 evening concerts from 7.00pm (note early start) to 10.00 pm
And a concert on Sunday afternoon from 2.00 to 6.00 pm

Admission : £10 to each session
or £30 for the entire festival
Young people and students half price
No advance tickets will be issued - just turn up !
The church is very large and admission is guaranteed
There are no problems parking near the church.


We have a superb Bosendorfer concert grand piano, previously used by the BBC
The festival will be held 'in the round', with the piano in the nave of the church
There will be frequent breaks, and tea and supper will be available on Sunday

All proceeds will go to the St Barnabas Organ Fund -
we need to raise £300,000 for a historic 'Hill' organ.

Location : St Barnabas church is on the corner of Pitshanger Lane and Denison Road , in North Ealing. Its postcode is W5 1QG. Parking is always available on neighbouring streets, and there are no meters or residential parking schemes. The nearest tube stations are Hanger Lane (on the Central Line) and Ealing Broadway (on the Central and District Lines). The church is a 15 minute walk along Brunswick Road from Hanger Lane tube. From Ealing Broadway, use the E2 or E9 bus services. Taxis are also available outside Ealing Broadway tube station.
