Viv McLean (piano) studied at Chetham's School and the Royal Academy of Music. He won the piano section of the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in 1996, and was on the Radio 3 Young Artists Forum, with frequent broadcasts. He won first prize at the 2002 Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona. He has played in many prestigious venues in the UK and throughout Europe, Japan and the USA, and performed concertos with the Philharmonia, the LPO and the RPO. He has also performed chamber music with the Ysaye Quartet and the Leopold Trio.
