Jun Sasaki (cello) was born in 1989 in London, studied at the Menuhin School from 2003 onwards, and currently studies at the Royal College of Music. He was a finalist in ITV's ‘ Britain 's Brilliant Child Prodigies' competition in 2003, won the 2nd Prize at the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition in 2006, and was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition string section. He has given many concerts throughout the UK and across Europe . \
Jeanette Ager (mezzo soprano) began singing at the age of 12. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she won many prizes. In 1996 she won the Gold Medal at the Royal Overseas League Music Competition, and gained an award from the Tillett Trust Young Artist Platform. In 1998 she won the Richard Tauber Prize for Singing at the Wigmore Hall. Since then she has performed widely throughout the UK and made several recordings.
Chris Hankin (flute) studied at Sheffield University and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She made her solo debut at the Purcell Room, and has recently released a solo CD entitled the'Feminine Flute'. She has performed with most of the London orchestras, and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. She is a well-known teacher, and is Professor of Flute at the London College of Music. She has lived in Ealing for many years, and founded the Ealing Flute Academy , a flourishing school for local flautists.
Benjamin Wragg (violin) studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Mozarteum, Salzburg with Ruggiero Ricci. He has established himself as one of the UK 's most promising young violinists, and has performed throughout Europe and Asia . He won the Making Music Young Concert Artist Award, and the Concordia Foundation Award, amongst many others. He is also building a reputation as a fine teacher at the Royal Academy of Music.
Anando Mukerjee (tenor) studied at Cambridge and at the Royal College of Music. From 2002 onwards, he has appeared in opera, concert, recital and oratorio throughout the UK & Europe with several opera companies and concert societies. He is India 's leading lyric tenor, and has sung many leading roles in operas by Mozart, Puccini and Verdi etc. He is also an accomplished recitalist and has a large and varied oratorio repertoire.
Sarah Williamson (clarinet) studied at the Purcell School , the Royal Academy and the Paris Conservatoire, where she graduated with the Premier Prix and ‘Laureate'. She won the Wind section of the BBC Young Musician competition in 2002, and won 2nd prize in the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians. Since then she has toured throughout the world, and now has a busy career, performing with various groups across the UK and Europe .
Viv McLean (piano)
studied at Chetham's School and the Royal Academy of Music. Amongst many awards, he won First Prize at the 2002 Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona , and was the piano winner at the Royal Overseas-League Music Competition. He has performed at all the major venues in the UK as well as throughout the world, played with some of the world's leading chamber music groups, recorded regularly for Radio 3 and made several CDs. He lives in Harrow and is an Honorary Patron of St Mary's Perivale, in recognition of his magnificent support of music-making in Ealing over many years.
Charles Economou (piano) lives in Ealing, and was educated at St Paul 's School and Cambridge University , where he was awarded an Instrumental Award, and gave many performances of solo and chamber music as a pianist. Since leaving Cambridge he has concentrated entirely on his musical studies, giving many solo recitals, covering a wide repertoire from Bach to Boulez.
