Charles Economou (piano) was educated at St Paul 's School and Cambridge University , where he read mathematics, but also gave many concerts, including a performance of Beethoven's Emperor Concerto. Since graduating, he has devoted himself entirely to music, performing regularly in West London as soloist and accompanist. He has played the demanding piano part of Stravinsky's Petrushka with West London Sinfonia. Recently he has developed an enthusiasm for collaborating with singers, with a number of Lieder recitals planned for the near future. Meanwhile, his solo work encompasses a large repertoire ranging from Bach to Boulez.
