St Barnabas Beethoven Piano Sonata Festival
Saturday & Sunday February 11th and 12th 2012 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm
We present a unique weekend of wonderful piano-playing to celebrate the 32 piano sonatas of Beethoven, with 32 distinguished pianists - click here for brief biographies of our pianists.
Admission : £12 to each afternoon (2.00-6.00 pm), and each evening (7.00-10.00 pm) (Young people and students half-price), or £36 for the whole weekend. No advance tickets will be issued – just turn up ! The church is very large and admission is guaranteed. There are no problems parking near the church.
We have a superb Bosendorfer concert grand piano, previously used for broadcasts by the BBC. The festival will be held ‘in the round’, with the piano in the centre of the church, and we have a new projection system with an image of the pianist on a large screen.
There will be frequent breaks, and supper is available at 6.00 pm on both days.
All proceeds will go to the St Barnabas Church Funds.
